If you see an orange light blinking on your Cricut Mug Press, it is normal. No need to panic; your press is in Connect (setup) mode. You might still need to finish the setup or update the software at cricut.com/setup. 

To troubleshoot the blinking orange light and get your machine working again, try the following fixes:

Reset the Press 

• Simply press the power button to turn off the press.
• Take the cord out of the outlet and check if all the lights turn off. 
• Wait for a while (recommended 30 to 60 seconds). 
• Plug the cord back in and power on the press.

Complete the Firmware Update 

• Connect the press to your computer using a USB cable.
• Open any browser and go to cricut.com/setup to access Design Space. 
• When on the Design From, select “New Machine Setup” from the menu on the left. 
• Next, follow the steps to update the firmware.
• If the update fails, use a different USB cable or port.

Force Exit the Connect Mode 

• If the press is stuck, turn it off.
• Press and release the power button just once (do not hold). 
• Wait for the press to restart.
